Welcome to the Alston Pottery
Walter Storey, the founder of the pottery, trained at Harrow College under Michael Casson before setting up this studio in its beautiful riverside setting. Here we make a whole range of domestic and architectural ceramics. Do browse our site and see what we produce. Bear in mind our pots are all hand thrown and hand made so we can also make unique pottery to order.
The river flowing past the pottery is an endless source of inspiration for glazes, colour and form. And for exploring the mystery of flow and stillness.
